To Do Is To Be - Nietzsche

That really has nothing to do with anything, was just at a loss for a title.

you ever notice how some words even when spelt correctly still look wrong? Like 'receipt' and 'weird'.

Started the baby blanket. No pictures yet as I just cast on, kind of, don't ask, it's safer that way.

I knit a couple of hearts last night. 3 to be exact, 1 out of the remainder of my noro, 2 our of pink peace fleece. The peace fleece remindes me of cotton candy.

The night I was stressing about all week turned out to be quite pleasant. That was a nice surprise.

I am quite tired today.

Meet Monty

This is Monty the Monster. Isn't he cute.
He is for a fellow Rav'r, so soon he will be going to his new home. So easy, so cute, guess what's going to be peaking out of everyone's Christmas stockings this year...yes even one for the wee little lad or lass.

I am going to start the baby blanket this weekend. I have some DiC that I was going to use for a scarf. It's a beautiful green-ish color called Lucky Jade or something like that. I will post pictures as the blanket progresses.

Still finishing up my Stornaway sock. Will hopefully have that done by Saturday. I also finished my first BSG sock. Yay!!

I got nothing else.

Wee Knits

I am going to be an Auntie!

I'm super excited for my brother, sister-in-law and family. I'm also excited about the wee little knits I get to create. (come on, you totally had to know that was coming!) I've already had a request for a blanket. :)

Now, I would like to make something for my 2 inherited nieces, so they don't feel left out and so that they too have something from me. I was thinking a blanket of some sort, maybe a 10 stitch blanket (google it to see the picture as I can only find the pattern on Ravelry). Thoughts?

The dinner with the girls was rescheduled, so I have another fun filled week of, 'do I really want to go?' 'I don't want to go' 'I really should go' & 'This is gonna suck, I hope there's alcohol there'. ya I know...

Loving Cee Lo Green, loving It's Ok.

I got nothing else.

Paying Attention

Every Monday's I get a fortune delivered in my email, this weeks gem "The smart thing to do is to begin trusting your intuitions".

I have an opportunity to go to dinner with the girls. I had to distance myself from them last year and with the exception of the odd facebook comment, I haven't spoken to them in almost a year.

Do I heed the fortunte and trust my intuition and not go, or do I go and have an exit plan?

Peace!

I stuffed my hearts this weekend, well 37 of them, 12 of them are already seamed up. I will take a picture of them soon, I promise. Oh! I made a Minion.

<--- This is my Peace Fleece sampler that I ordered the other day. I figure I can get 2-3 hearts out of each little 1/2oz skein. The colors are gorgeous! So bright & colorful, like a little yarny box of crayons.
It's February, I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to knitting this month. I know I'm suppose to be working on a scarf, but I am just so unmotivated to knit a scarf no matter how pretty the pattern and how soft and squishy the yarn. I am going to finish my sock (ya still haven't finished that, don't judge), knit up some hearts, maybe start the scarf.
I am madly in love with Candlebox right now.

Rule Number # 32: Enjoy the little things.

Snow! I genuinly love snow and eventhough the snow displeases everyone around me, it pleases me.
(And to answer your next question, no, I do not ski. I have a hard enough time walking without banging into things, do ya'll really think that strapping skis to my feet and having me go down a hill really fast is something I should do? ya, I didn't think so either) and what goes better with snow than hot cocoa? (note the happy snowman cutout on my desk. his name is burl)

New necklace.

"Not all who wander are lost". My new mantra. I often feel lost. Wandering around in my own life, without purpose or direction. So although I wander about, in truth, I am neither lost nor without direction for to wander is my direction.

New yarn

Madelinetosh sock yarn in Colbalt. Ya, I know it kinda looks green, but trust me in person, the prettiest blue...like Paul Newman would be jealous of this blue, ya dig?

Snow

It's snowing. Again. 38 inches of snow so far and counting baby!

LA Song is stuck in my head. Mostly because I want to run away so very badly. Someday.

No knitting yesterday. Boo Pammy right?!?

Have also decided to frog Gridiron, as much as it breaks my heart to do so.

And it's February, new month, new project. I have decided that I am going to knit the strangling vines scarf in yummy red malabrigo. It's soft and squishy and comforting and that's something I need right now, comfort.

Still have to finish my second Stornoway sock, I messed up on the short row heel, but I want nothing but positive energy and love going in it, so, it's on hold for the moment, same with the hearts.

New Moon has been playing constantly on some movie channel, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I watch it every blessed time it's on.
