And Now The End is Near

And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than thisI did it my way
Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Currently...

I am torturing myself and coworkers by listening to "Don't think I don't think about it" by Darius Rucker, yes, I am rocking out to Hootie the country version.

This year has been full of regrets, some that I am crushed and heartbroken over, some not so much. I am very much thankful that 2009 is almost behind me and hopefull that 2010 will be better.

Confession...

My sweetie and I broke up. I have moved out and am back living at home.

I went out with a fly fisherman that i knew and had a big ol crush on in HS, and although my date with the fly fisherman went well, very well if you catch my drift (NO! not that well), even so I doubt there will be a second. I think this is for the best, Vegas would be in our future if we continue. (i realize that sentence makes no sense, i know what i want to say in my head, it's just not coming out correctly, i am blaming it on the fact that i am sleep deprived). For one my fly fisherman lives about 2 hours away. That's really the only reason I cannot see it working out, well that and the fishing thing. But I cannot see the future, if I could I'd be a millionaire, so if life pairs us again, so be it, I will just sit back and enjoy.

Then there is the divorced dad (DD from here on out) who is devine. I enjoy my time spent with DD & the little monkey (his kid). The make me laugh and love to cuddle. I adore DD, so I'm pulling back, slow and steady freddy.

So that's what's been going on with me...

In knitting I've started piecing together my log cabin blanket. It was originally going to be a Christmas gift for my sweetie, but given the current situation, I am going to gift it to my cousin.

Cancer (6/22-7/22)
The weekend is almost here -- and just in time! You have a new playmate, and you can't wait to get down to business and have some fun with them. Well, not to worry. They're just as excited and just as eager to get started. If you haven't already done it, get out of work early and polish up your home. You'll want to make a good impression -- and you may be spending most of your time there this weekend.

Froggin

Ok, here it goes, I have thought about it and I have decided to frog Frank's sweater. From what I've read the sleeves don't match up the way the pattern was written and I'd be too heartbroken to redo it. So, that's that. I will probably cry whilst frogging it too.

I started, way back when a sweater for my mother. I messed up on something and had to rip apart the ribbing. I have since lost the book the pattern came in, therefor I don't know what size needle I used, can't find the ball band for the yarn, it's just a giant cluster, so that too is getting frogged, soon to come back as a February Lady Sweater for my mother, whose birthday is in February.

As my grandpa would say, what are ya gonna do?

I suppose this is a good thing. Less guilt if I start something new.

To Doug

I'm in the need
Of someone to confide
Surrendering
Cause I'm not as strong as you'd think
Uncommonly
The desire that holds our eyes
We'll need to dig deep
You see that I can't but reason I cover up
Better than most
Yes I cover up better than most
I'm surrendering
I can't believe that you were ever on my side
But who holds the keys
Of who I am and why this life
And I want to be free
This indecision from all sides
You need to dig deep
Cause you see that
I can't but reason I cover up
Better than most
Yes I cover up better than most
I'm surrendering
Oh, this blame that we lay on
Our mothers, our sisters, our lovers
Our thoughts, they're ours to own
So we need to dig deep
You see that I can't but reason
Could somebody please give me something to hold
Something to numb why I'm feeling alone
Beginning to think that the older we get
The more we think, the less we knowI'm surrendering
I surrender,Cause I can't but reason I cover up
Better than most,
Yes I cover up better than most
I'm surrendering
Yes I cover up better than most
Yes I cover up better than most
I'm surrendering
I'm in the need
Of someone to confide
Surrendering
Cause I'm not as strong as you'd think

A Room of My Own

On Ravelry there's a topic for showing off your craft room and I must admit, I am jealous. I want a craft room. I have it all planned out in my head for when I win the lottery. Good size room with a t.v., an eliptical, my Tiffany lamp, a nice comfy, schmooshy couch and hassack, knitting basket, sewing table, cubby's for my yarn & books, cat condo in the corner for the kitties. Is that too much to ask for?

Am still trying to fix the sweater I 'effed up on. Hopefully it'll be repaired this weekend. One mitten down, 1 mitten to go, then it's on to a hat and 2 BSJ's in Dream in Color Smooshy. Am hoping to finish the blanket soon. Then I'll be able to work on something else and not feel guilty about having too many WIP.

Smells Like Hoth...

i misread something. what actually said was, smells like: dry, hot... what i read was..well..not that.

i wonder what exactly hoth smells like.

i pieced together the last 2 squares from my sweeties log cabin quilt i knit him together, now i just piece the rows together and add the edging.

am debating if i want to rip apart my never-ending birthday sweater and make a francis instead. also, trying to salvage a poorly (on my part) pieced together sweater, for a christmas present. hope it works.

other than that, it's been quiet on the knitting front.

My Tattoo & Recipes

It's coming up on the 13yr anniversary of my dad's death. I mourned for my dad for 10yrs, in my own way and on the 10yr anniversary of his death I went with my friend Mike to get a tattoo, a little sunflower on the small of my back, my way of ending the mourning, accepting his death and hopefully moving on. It was warm that day, the shop was crazy busy, random people, some bikers, one in particular who I think I hugged after a short crying jag. I don't know if my little plan worked I still miss him like crazy, although, it now comes in spurts.

This is not that good of a story but I have nothing else, so it's staying. :p To make it up to you and because I am missing him like crazy today, here is my daddy's corn chowder recipe more or less (am winging it here as there is no "offical" recipe):

1 lg or 2 sm cans corn niblets (drained)
1 lg can cream style corn
4 slices of bacon or a chunk of pork fat cut into small strips (i usually cut it directly into the pan)
1 onion chopped
1 pint of cream
1/2 gallon of milk(won't use it all) can use 2% or even 1% , although I don't recommend skim
2 lg potatoes or 1/2 bag of baby potatoes cut into good size chunks (use as many as you I like potatoes so I use allot)
1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes if you want, although i've never tried it, but it's good in the haddock chowder so...

get a heavy bottom pan, cook the bacon, remove the cooked bacon, leave the fat, add the onions and a pince of salt and cook until soft and kinda see through. Add the potatoes, corn niblets and cream corn along with the cream and milk start off with about 1/2 of the 1/2 gallon see how it looks if you want to add more, add more. cook about 20 minutes or untill potatoes are done. season with salt and pepper to taste and serve and enjoy.

I like to eat mine from a bread bowl. My sweetie likes his in a regular bowl with oyster crackers.

and what's dinner without dessert?

Dead Day Cake
(growing up, it was only served at funerals on my dads side of the family, hence the name)

1 box white cake mix
maple extract
1 bag chopped walnuts (about 1 cup for the cake and some for decoration)
1 lg can vanilla frosting

preheat oven to whatever the box says. your basically making the cake according to the directions, just add 1 capfull of maple extract and add the nuts to the mix.

while that's cooking add a capfull of maple extract to the frosting and give it a good stir. i find it easier to dump it into a bowl and mix in the maple that way, but by all means if you want one less dish, mix it in the container. taste it, if you want it to taste more mapley, add more extract.

frost your cooled cake, decorate with nuts and enjoy.

=)

Are You There Fall? It's Me...

Oh when Fall arrives there will be much rejoicing.

For one thing, I can sleep in the bed again, as opposed to the couch, as the living room is the only room with A/C. I love bed, I miss bed.

I want to make a pork roast in the worst way, and homemade applesauce, on the stovetop so the house smells of apple-cinnamonnie goodness and bake a cake, in the oven.

Am going to start on a pair of plain jane socks for myself. Methinks am going to use some knitpicks yarn. Also have to frog my toe up sock, is too tight at the top. I am ok with it, this go round, it'll have some ribbing.

Still working on that friggin sleeve. I swear that sweater will be the death of me.

I Don't Wanna Work

I don't wanna bang on any drums either. I want to nap and maybe knit, as long as it's nothing to complex or involve a pattern with many words.

also want to drink. however, that would result with instant nap. not good.

Auntie & Julia

I spent most of the night thinking about what I would write about my Aunt Louise on her birthday, I would tell you about the mink stole she had, that I use to play dress up with, about how i would play drums on her pots and pans, how I would preform The Sun Will Come Out from Annie to her eager audience over and over again and how she was my best friend.

Every Saturday night we would watch Wild Kingdom, Julia Child & whatever classic movie played after on Channel 2. I wasn't a big fan of Wild Kingdom, but Julia Child, I loved watching her, everything she cooked, my Auntie and I would say you can send me some of that or something to that effect. I credit my Auntie and Julia Child with my love of cooking. My Aunt loved to cook when she was younger and from what I hear she was a fantastic cook.

I remember when Julia Child passed, it was like losing my Auntie all over again, silly, I know, but I had so many memories with my Aunt watching Julia Child, happy memories, Auntie, Julia & myself.

My mother & I recently watched an episode of Julia & Jacques, at the end of the show she signed off, her trademark, and I cried, missing my her.

Bon Appetite.

Gypsy Woman...

My favorite song by Marty.

Today however is a Morphine day, it's hot & sticky, blinking makes you sweat, but the slow sax and Mark's deep voice makes it all better.

That being said, Hell's Kitchen tonight baby!! WOO HOO! I haven't made any progress on either my sleeve or Knotty Gloves, but I am hoping to rectify that tonight and tomorrow.

My buddy Spud, sent me some homemade yummy strawberry jam... makes the best breakfast in the world (toast (or a bagel) with cream cheese and a little jam) even yummier!
Thanks Spud, you do spoil me so! :)

I am being abanded on Friday night...Sweetie is going out with some boys from work for a little going away shin dig as Sweetie is transfering to a different store. I am ok with it, got some frozen Indian take out & Naan bread (thank you Trader Joe's) gonna rent a couple of chick flicks and kick back and knit.

So, I got the 1st 16 rows of that stupid sleeve (till it's done, it's the stupid sleeve) and that's it. I have given myself permission to start a sock in the hopes that if i start it, the nagging feeling to start one will go away and then I will be more inclined to knit on that stupid sleeve, let's see how that works out.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, not much knitting has been done. Usually what happens is I take the bag with the sleeve out, put it on the table and stare at it, trying to will myself to knit on it, like Uma Thurman trying to will her big toe to move in Kill Bill 2. (BTW, so sad about David Carradine)

That being said, I am off like a prom dress!

Easy Like Sunday Morning...

It's raining and generally icky out. I have a cuppa joe, my kitties to cuddle with, good movies on t.v. & fun yarn to play with...it's going to be a good day.

Went to the farmers market yesterday, so much fun. I got a couple of the most beautiful tomatoes, some fresh ciabatta bread, mixed with some fresh basil, a little onion, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, olive oil & balsamic vinegar... the most amazingly fresh, tasty bruschetta. SO GOOD!

Am going to force myself to knit the doomsday sleeve today.

Once that's done, on to the 2nd toe up sock.

Weirdness note, I had a dream about Reanimater last night, which normally wouldn't be so strange except, I've never seen Re-animater...

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Laundry Day!!

I finish my first toe up sock, only one of them, because I feel like I should finish my sleeve before I do anything else. The only issue is, I have ZERO desire to do anything on it. I also brought with my my Sizzle tank.

I have lost the ability to be quirky & clever with my post.

The Wrong Frank

Today is the 11th anniversary of Frank Sinatra's death. In honor of his passing, I'm going to tell you a tale. Sit down, pop some popcorn (individual size bag, it isn't that long of a story) and make yourself comfy!

A little background, I was dating Dave at the time (my ex hubby) and was still living at home.

On the day on May 14th, I get out of the shower, and go to my room to get ready for work, when my mother calls me into her room and here's how the conversation went:

mom: pam, come in for a second and sit down
me: i go in and sit
mom: dave just called, Frank died last night
me: what? (getting all teary eyed) what do you mean he died?I just saw him last night. how did he die? how's dave?
mom: how's dave? no, sweetie not that Frank, Frank Sinatra.

Ya.

Knit-wise: I have done nothing since casting on for BBTs second sleeve. NOTHING! ooh, sorry, I pull my knitting basket out with the intention of knitting. Intentions my friends will no get the sleeve knit! Decided that once BBT's sweater is complete I will frog the sweater I knit my mother so many moons ago, you know the one I seamed up horridly, and reuse the yarn to make her a February Lady sweater for her birthday, which is in February. HA! Hopefully I will finish up my gift knitting so that I can knit more socks guilt free.

Sports - Go Celts!!

Movies/T.V. - Rented Pineapple Express this weekend on the reccomendation of a friend who said it was as funny as Superbad, (like anything else can be that funny? I doubt it) OMG, not even close to the hilarity of Superbad. It was bad, not Zohan bad, but not that far off either. Watched Daisy of Love. I showered after.

Ok..

Knit wise - I cast on for the second sleeve of the F.i.L. sweater now BBT's sweater. I fear that I am going to have rip out the old sleeve and redo that one as I don't remember how I did the increases and of course I didn't take notes! How silly of you to even think that I would have, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will take notes this time around!!

Saturdays are for Socks (maybe Sundays too, depending on how much progress I make on other things.) that will be my new theme! I have so many projects to finish up (BBT's sweater, my berfday sweater, my moms sweater (if I can unseam it and fix the sleeve), sweeties blanket (which I can't do anything on until I finish BBT's sweater as the sweater is holding my other long # 9 circular hostage!) and various other things needed for the myriad of babies that will be appearing this year and the holidays...scarves & such for the in-laws, but i like knitting socks and I don't think I'd be able to quit them just like that. That seems so cold.

Sports wise - GO BOSTON!!!

Book wise - I read the Scarpetta books by Patricia Cornwell. I devour them actually, and I just read that they are making them into a movie (there are 16 to choose from!) I am torn with how I feel on that. I am usually not a fan of the movie once I've read the book, as they are never alike (i.e. Bridge Jones' Diary, same name, same character names, completely different story) I liked it, don't get me wrong, but I took it for what it was, a movie with the same name as a book I've read and I'm kinda afraid that's going to be the case with this. Also, they have Angelina Jolie playing Kay Scarpetta, now, I like Ms. Jolie, but not for this character, I always pictured Kay to be older and resembling Glenn Close. Oh well.

It's Pop-up Lost night tonight! whoo hoo!!

Saturday Night...

is the loneliest night of the week.

Sweetie went to his friends for the hockey game. I was invited, however, I have a feeling he didn't want me to go, no matter how many times he said he wanted me to.
So, I've been abandoned.

Saturday

Yesterday was my Grandpa's birthday.
Today is my ex-hubby's birthday.
Happy Birthday to 2 of my favorite men.

It's Saturday!! Errand day, but whilst running my errands, I may or may not pop into Seed Stitch where they have Koigu and I may or may not come home with skein of said yarn...

I have bundles of new babies incubating to knit for..well, 2...but still, that's alot of baby knits.

For baby 1, due at the end of Aug. will be getting a kimono sweater in a loverly grassy green.
Baby 2, due at the end of Nov. will be getting a pair of baby mittens and a matching baby devil hat and booties.

Still thinking about this stitch marker deal. If I go forward with it, I will probably start making them in the fall, and kinda take it from there.

is it naptime yet?

Tuesday

I don't like Tuesdays. There's nothing on t.v. and my sweetie usually gets suckered into working late on Tuesdays for early release on Thursday. So, I'm often alone till 9 when he gets home, and that's when I start dinner. Oh well. As my grandpa use to say, What are you gonna do?

Haven't touched my toe up sock since Saturday. Will work on it tonight, being that I'll have nothing else to do. Maybe I'll rent a movie...any suggestions?

YO YO YO!

S'up peeps?!

My weekend :p

I have chocolate kisses for work, as last week sucked and we really needed chocolate and didn't have any..THE HORROR!!! When your boss leaves on Friday and tells everyone, if you get another job offer, don't turn it down, and he's not kidding, it ain't pretty. When I left this horrifyingly bad day, it was POURING! so, date night with my sweetie got rescheduled to Sunday. All was not lost, we got greasy take out and watched bad tv.

Saturday, we had at home movie night. I got snacks, and after dinner (and the last half of VH1's one hit wonders of the 80's) we watched the Fast and the Furious, sweetie had never seen it before! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Sunday we went to the Willows, fed the birds (one bird in particular, loved my sweetie, so, i named him steve) I kicked his ass at air hockey, he beat me at pinball, we had goofy fun, then went to lunch, came home and relaxed. All and all a nice weekend.

On the knitting front, my toe ups look fabulous! am almost at the heel part... woo hoo!!

I Have a Craving for...

I can almost taste it.
Let me tell you a tale. One day, long ago, when I was about 16, I wanted chocolate chip ice cream. Not just any chocolate chip ice cream either! NO! I wanted a very specific chocolate chip ice cream BaskeN & Robbins chocolate chip ice cream to be exact and an ice coffee.
I was told that I have more cravings than a pregnant woman.
and let me just say for the record, I wasn't then and I'm not now.

ug...

Ok, am I the only one whose ass is getting kicked by this daylight savings crap? Seriously, I need to have a cup of coffee at 4 in the afternoon just so I can make thru till 10pm. That's not friggin normal. Maybe I have the African sleep disorder, maybe I just need to stop watching House.

In honor of St. Paddy's day yesterday, I knit a little on my green birthday sweater. I did not enjoy it because i am OBSESSED with learning how to knit toe up. Will play with the sock yarn when I get home tonight, after I do the dishes.

It's Lost night!! And it's a new episode, cause let me tell you, how disappointed was I when I happily put on Lost only to find out it was a repeat! Talk about putting a damper on the night. Although I did get to watch Lie to Me (now that they moved it from 9pm to 8pm) EXCELLENT show. I had a point and now I don't. DAMN IT!

Luck of the Irish

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
In honor of this day, I give you The Unicorn Song. Enjoy.

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
May God be with you and bless you:
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.
May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

Thankful

None of my real-life friends knit, know how to knit or have any desire to knit, because of that I am isolated (isolated seems a little strong, but for lack of a better word, I'll use it.), isolated because I have no one to talk to about the projects I'm working on, problems I'm having, to encourage me to try some new technique or even to say yay for me after I complete a project, small things. So, I started a blog, just to have somewhere to go and talk about my knitting. And I thru this little blog I met you, my blog-land friends (all 3 of ya :p) You encourage me and make me feel less like the new animal at the zoo I just wanted to say thank you.

I got my swap package today from winterstitch (aka Alexandra)

(please excuse the craptacular photo, it was taken with my cell phone)

There was yummy yarn and teas. sweet smelling hand lotion and 2 little toy mice for the kitties (a grey - already grabbed by si and a white one - which lila is sniffing in the picture before she grabbed it and ran, which is good cause it means the yarn is safe)
thank you so much Alexandra for the fabulous tea and yarny goodness.
oh ya and i have to say screw the noro i'm going straight to this!

Happy Day of the Lost!

It's Wednesday! YAY!!!

Ok, am kinda getting pissy at Blogger, as it won't let me play around with the blog colors and such. No fair! Oh well, nothing I can do about it...

1 pair of Christmas socks down, 3 more to go!! Woo Hoo!!!
I can't wait to start on the other FiL sweater sleeve, I am actually excited about gifting the much loved FiL sweater to my Toddlet, as I'm sure it will be appreciated and loved. Must remember to buy a bottle of SOAK for his stocking so that no harm comes to the sweater.

So, have started a pair of Jaywalkers for myself using some lovely regia yarn gifted to me by blogless Liz. Regia is so nice to work with and so far am loving the pattern. Have decided that once done with the Jaywalkers, I am going to give the Noro another chance, hopefully it will not be in vain.

I have been given a task for my super awesome big brother. Toddlet is the only one in the family without a handknit Christmas stocking. Chickie (mom) asked me if I could re-do the top half of dad's Christmas stocking and replace the "Bob" with "Todd", thing is, i have no idea what kind of yarn or needle size was used for this project and the stocking is 32 years old, so I doubt I could match the yarn anyway. What do I do? Was thinking about just unraveling it, from the top of the green up knit and then embroider the name on rather than knit it in. We shall see.

I am loving Pandora. Have been enjoying 80's hair bands in the folder I renamed Hampton Beach Casino Ball Room, I think you need to be from the area to appreciate the humor in that. Right now Tesla - Love Song is playing. YAY!!!

How are all y'all doing?

Must Be Wednesday

Wow, I can't even give the yarn away...so sad.

I am sleepy & my head has a hurty. =)

Free Yarn

I have some Noro Keyron sock yarn and I hate it. It's all caked up and ready to go, if you want it email me and let me know and I will mail it to you. There's about a cuffs worth missing from the yardage, other than that, it's a full skein.

In other news, I feel like a bloaty frog. Damn PMS.

more later.

Wednesday = Lost Day!

I had the most bizarre dream last night. Now, first off, it's rare that I even remember my dreams, I am whole heartly believe that I don't dream. Last nights dream involved me running into my old neighbor Jackie, he was tall and told me I was pretty. I don't know, it was just bizarre to dream about Jackie, of all people, our parents were friends and we were forced upon each other practically every day, his mother had china patterns picked out by the time I turned 8. Then in HS we became mortal enemies and that was that. I wonder what that means.

Anywho...finished my Monkey socks. LOVE the pattern, love the socks... just a good experience all around with them. Pictures, maybe tomorrow....

Lost is on tonight! I hope Hurley's in this episode.

OH! I joined a Tea and Yarn swap on Ravelry! Am very excited to put together a parcel (love that word!) for my partner.

Happy Lost Day!!

It's been a long week and I meant to post earlier...it's the thought that counts (and I guess that I'm a bit to broke, but there's some change in my ashtray, maybe just enough to pay, for a half pint of something that'll probably make us choke.... 10 points if you know what that's from!)

Man, got a paper cut and am bleeding again...ok, really need that bubble wrap!!

My bad boy had surgery on Monday so I haven't seen him in a couple of days, but there's a rumor that I'll see him tomorrow.

Pictures tomorrow...maybe...

Ponder this: Where are all the good men dead, in the heart or in the head?....

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Why is it...

Good girls (ie: me) always fall for or get crushes on bad boys or as my ex-hubby says, a guy who knows his way around a car engine and with the exception of the ex hubster & db, every boy i've dated? You could also look at it as a why do bad boys fall for good girls...but i'll stick with my way of thinking for this one thankyouverymuch.

Poll: A friend is preggers...do i go with a log cabon baby blanket or baby yoda sweater? So far I have a vote for each. I am kinda leaning with the sweater because, well, I already bought the yarn (on sale thank you for asking!)

Also, I am going to Frog my "Lost" sock because i fear i didn't cast on enough stitches. Luckily, however, I haven't gotten very far on it. =)

That's all I got.

A Theme....

What took me away from my knitting:
By: Pamela L.

What took me away from my knitting this, this, this and this, and all 4 were finished in a matter of 2weeks. If you haven't read them yet, read them, you'll be glad you did. Anywho, after that, I just had to go see this. Then there were the holler-days, as my ex use to put it, which led to receiving this and this which has been sucking up my knitting time. Am going to knit during House & 24 tonight.

And that is what kidnapped my knitting time and why I got nothing to show.
=D

Did I Ever Tell You...

About the time my stove tried to kill me?
I had just moved into my apartment, right after my divorce. I had made a frozen pizza, popped open a beer and sat down on the floor to watch t.v. (i had a couch, it was hidden by boxes)
So there I am munching on pizza, drinking my beer, watching some bad television show on the CW when my, what I think is my smoke detector goes off. Panicked, I called my ex boyfriend, who btw thought I was drunk, I hadn't even drank 1/2 my beer, and please, 1/2 beer won't make me drunk, I'm not that much of a cheap date! My neighbor Frankie heard the noise came over to check on me. Come to find out it was the carbon monoxcide detector. So I called the fire department, Tossed the kitties in the bathroom with the window open, opened all the windows. The Fire Dept. came by, unhooked the stove and advised that I leave the windows open for a little while longer, esp. in the bedroom where the carbon reading was the worst. So that is my story of how my stove tried to kill me.

Happy New Year!!!

I hope Santa was good to everyone! Santa was very good to me... he got me a job. SQUEE!!!
So hopefully I will be posting more.
It's now 2009 and in 3 years (according to the Mayan (me thinks) calendar the world will end, 12/21/2012. We shall see now won't we?
Man alive I'm sleepy (and you wonder why I haven't been posting). Still working on my second Monkey, but am almost at the heel. Can't wait as Santa (ok, it was me, b/c no one in my family every buys me yarny goodness...) got me some new sock yarn that i can't want to start using. YAY!! Sock yarn!!!
Will post more later as I still have to figure out my resolutions and post them (b/c posting them will make me a little more likely to actually do them...)
